SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

Responsible for sales of Company’s product lines

Manages and supports the Hurst distribution network in the assigned region

Develops and conducts training schools for distributors, end-users, OEM accounts and others as assigned

REPORTING TO: 

 

 Vice President Sales & Marketing, Rescue

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide field product support to distributors and other
  • Conduct sales, service and applications training in various locations
  • Conduct product demonstrations
  • Conduct exhibit, trade show, fire school and extrication competition presentations
  • Conduct distributor evaluations and make recommendations
  • Assist in developing sales marketing plans for region
  • Provide sales projections for territory based on local issues, concerns and opportunities
  • Maintain information on competitive products and distribution 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES

This position requires demonstrating and working with hydraulic and pneumatic equipment ranging in weight from 2lb. to 55 lb.  A valid driver’s license and good driving record are also required.  The candidate should possess copter skills sufficient to write reports and do basic presentations.  Strong communication and follow-up skills are necessary.  Some mechanical aptitude is required.  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 year college degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years distributor sales background
  • Minimum 2 years experience in rescue training
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic tools systems

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

Administers the corporate benefits plans for employee health, welfare and retirement plans for local facility. Responsibility includes corporate initiatives, employee relations, recruiting, regulatory compliance, training and employee development, safety, health, security & environmental compliance and policy & procedure development & implementation.

 

REPORTING TO: 

VP & General Manager, Hydraulics North America

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations and IDEX policies and procedures and ensures HR compliance.
  • Conducts recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel; writes and places advertisements, coordinates interviewing, testing and selection processes, reference & background checking and physical exams, etc. in accordance with IDEX policies and procedures. 
  • Responsible for new employee orientation, including the coordination of the preparation for new hires such as offices, equipment, credit cards, etc.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program, EEO-1 status, and other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations through the HRIS system; and conducts new-employee orientations,
  • Employee relations responsibilities include counseling, corrective actions, and exit interviews.  Also includes coordination of employee communications, activities and events.
  • Identify and coordinate training and development activities, including the identification of and application for potential training grant opportunities.
  • Champion Corporate initiatives, policies & procedures:
  • iSay - Voice of the Employee – Administer survey, analyze data and report to management and employees, conducts employee focus groups and develop company Action Plans.
  • iValue – Legal and Compliance Education – conduct training for employee certifications on legal and compliance issues when include but not limited to Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Confidentiality Agreements, HIPPA and other certifications as necessary.
  • iAchieve – Performance Management – administer and train employees on goal setting, progress checks, personal development plans by using the online Performance Management System.
  • Corporate Communications – local designee for Corporate communications to employees.  Must develop the Corporate branding culture through written communications, DVD’s and posters as developed by Corporate.
  • Establishes and maintains department records and reports.  Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and training.  Maintains company employee headcount.
  • Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of the department.  Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Implements and annually updates compensation program, rewrites job descriptions as necessary, conducts annual salary surveys and develops annual merit budget and analyzes all compensation requirements.
  • Administers all company health, safety, security & environmental programs to include but not limited to all OSHA mandated requirements (i.e., Hearing Conservation, Hazardous Communication, Right-to-Know, and Lock-Out Tag-Out programs, etc.)  accident investigations, worker compensation administration and ISO environmental certifications and training.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements personnel policies and procedures, develop and maintain an employee handbook.
  • Performs benefits administration of all company benefits programs to include enrollment, changes, approving invoices and assisting employees with claims resolution as necessary.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES

  • PC skills including Microsoft Office®, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of ADP Enterprise HRIS and Payroll system and JD Edwards Business System.
  • Good verbal and written skills.
  • Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, FLSA and related state and federal regulations.
  • Provides functional guidance for administrative support needs.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  •  Bachelors Degree in human resources or business administration.
  • Human Resource Certification – SPHR preferred.
  • Five (5) years experience in the human resources field.
